I was a senior in high school when Hurricane Katrina hit my hometown of New Orleans. After days of not knowing how my house faired out, I discovered that not only my house, but my school, was under 13 feet of water. After weeks of chaos, I found a temporary school to attend; there, I made many friends and even met my (now) fiance. I learned so much about myself in this experience, and even though it was the hardest thing I have ever been through, I would do it again without question.
