Between my sophomore year and junior year of university, I was hired as an advertising sales agent for SEE Magazine in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  SEE Magazine is an arts, entertainment, and culture newspaper that is printed once a week.

My responsibilites at SEE Magazine included selling advertising space; informing clients about special issues or special advertising opportunities; acting as a liason between the clients and our creative team; prospecting new advertising clients; and dealing with any concerns that may occur from either our creative department or the clients. 

At Ticketmaster, I served as an Inside Sales Agent.  It was my responsibility to inform customers of events and special offers available through Ticketmaster, and to offer seating advice for events throughout North America.  In addition to selling tickets, I would also solve problems for customers with any problems or concerns from previous ticket purchases.

During the summer of 2006, I worked for the Tasty Treats Division of The Ice Cream Depot.  As Special Events Manager, I was responsible for both our three permanent sites (Fort Edmonton Park, Whyte Avenue, and the Edmonton Valley Zoo), as well as any temporary sites we had a special events occuring in and around the city of Edmonton.  On any given day, I would be responsible for the employees on duty (6 to 25 depending on how many events were occuring).  I was also responsible for ensuring all sites were properly staffed, stocked, and had balanced sales to cash intake.   I was responsible for establishing clear communication with event organizers and addressing any concerns that occured.  Finally, as a distrubtor of Chapman's Ice Cream, I assisted the warehouse staff with ice cream orders for both major chains (Wal-Mart, Sobey's, etc), and smaller local grocers.
